Participants will develop content creation, editing, and marketing skills using AI tools, with applications across traditional publishing, self-publishing, social media, and multimedia platforms. The course includes weekly assignments and a final project—no textbook required.

Corey Parson

Corey Parson is the Managing Editor of the University of North Georgia Press and a researcher exploring ethical AI use in publishing. With over a decade of experience in editorial workflows, copyright, and book production, she investigates how AI can support accessibility, author rights, and ethical practices across publishing workflows—including editorial, book design, audiobook development, translation, and ebook production.

Dr. BJ Robinson

Dr. BJ Robinson, Director of the University of North Georgia Press since 2010, has overseen the publication of more than 68 titles—including award-winning scholarly works, literary fiction, and widely adopted low- and no-cost textbooks—while leading all aspects of editorial, business, and strategic planning. Under her leadership, UNG Press has saved students millions of dollars and secured over $820,000 in grant funding. As Professor of English at UNG, Dr. Robinson has taught a wide range of publishing and writing courses and developed curricula in professional publishing. Her expertise in open educational resources, editorial development, and creative writing has made her a sought-after speaker and mentor in the fields of academic publishing and open pedagogy.
