The Nature of Color in Photography

Color begins with light and the colors we see are determined by their light source. This one-day workshop will explain the application of color theory to photography and its use in marketing materials. Students will learn how to utilize both natural and artificial light to create color and interest in their marketing pieces.

Topics covered will include:

*The aesthetics and technical foundations of color photography

*Which colors play a role in the success of any marketing campaign

*Which colors create certain emotions

*Which colors drive sales

*The technique of combining specific colors to complement each other

*How to manage digital camera colors with white balance

The course will also include a hands on demonstration on the color techniques of High Dynamic Range and Light painting.
