According to Georgia Farm Bureau statistics, one in seven Georgians work in agriculture, forestry, or related fields. With over $75 billion in economic impact every year, agribusiness is Georgia’s leading industry. Biotechnology, drones, telematics, yield monitoring, and other precision ag technologies are rapidly changing how Georgia grows.
Whether it’s the science behind farming, engineering and programming technology that increases efficiency, or developing the mathematical concepts necessary to automate production and processing equipment, agribusiness is adding steAm to STEM education.
This unique one-day event brings economic development professionals, government officials, business and community leaders, educators, and students (high school, technical college, and university) together to learn about educational pathways, career opportunities, and how the convergence of agriculture, technology, and education are growing north Georgia.
