Travel Photography is often described as a subcategory of photography involving the documentation of an area's landscape, people, street scenes, cultures, customs and history. So by definition to be a good Travel Photographer you will have to adaptable to many situations and subjects. The good Travel Photographer is a collector and curator of experiences.
Preparation is essential to creating good travel images. Travel photography is about carrying your camera with you and being able to snap away at a moments notice. It's about making a connection with your subject, in a way that an average vacationer may not. You are thinking about how your photograph looks before you've even taken it and are looking to find the unusual against the backdrop of the usual.
