The concepts of alternative, holistic, and integrative medicine have their roots in healing traditions that have been around for thousands of years. Today, this philosophy is gaining attention as more practitioners recognize the benefits of combining traditional medicine with the nonphysical exploration of healing. In this four-lesson online course, you'll gain insights into a unique, person-centered approach to health care.
Designed for both health care professionals and consumers, the course explores key topics in integrative and holistic health care, including stress management and the beneficial effects of physical activity, nutrition, and healing environments. As you master the philosophies and treatments of these four holistic approaches, you'll also develop a deeper appreciation of wellness. You'll learn how the relationship between provider and client can promote healing and how these various treatments empower individuals to support self-healing through natural techniques. Above all, this course will guide you as explore the importance of treating the whole individual and learn to harness the tremendous potential of an integrative health approach.
